This privacy policy has been developed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

We process personal data in connection with the implementation of the activities provided for in the Law on Advocacy, the Law on Legal Aid and other normative acts. The personal data we collect about our clients is determined by the type of specific legal services provided to them.

  • deadlines for personal data processing
     The personal data of the clients are stored for the term of the contract for legal services, until the expiration of the limitation period for engaging the professional liability of the lawyers or up to 5 years from the end of the case. The personal data of potential clients with whom a contract for legal services has not been concluded shall be stored within 1 month from the end of the correspondence.
  • Individuals involved in court or conciliation proceedings The personal data of individuals – participants in court proceedings are processed for the purposes of carrying out the agreed representation. The personal data of the opposing, assisting and assisted parties or their representatives shall be provided by the client or by the court / arbitration body. The personal data of the witnesses shall be provided by the party that engaged the respective witness. The personal data of the experts shall be provided by the court.

     

    The data, part of a closed case, is stored for a period of 5 years.
  • categories of recipients of personal data outside the law firm

     

    Personal data of the following categories of recipients may be disclosed:

       - to other lawyers, for the purposes of providing the assigned legal services;

       - to trusted external consultants, for the purposes of providing complex services, with the approval of the client;

       - to courier companies and postal operators - for the needs of correspondence with natural persons-data subjects;

       - to credit institutions - for the needs of remuneration payment;

       - to state bodies and bodies entrusted with public functions, within their powers, for the purposes of fulfilling legal obligations;

       - in court or in arbitration, for the purposes of legal representation in court proceedings.

The personal data of clients or their representatives shall not be disclosed in another country or international organization, except in cases where, on the basis of a concluded legal aid contract, the law firm provides legal services in the field of international arbitration or cooperates with law firms established. outside the territory of the country. In any such case, the applicable provisions of the legislation in the field of personal data protection shall be complied with.
